Kailash Kher to launch his third album ‘Kailasa Chaandan Mein’ in June

Now after a huge success of ‘Kailasa’ and ‘Kailasa Jhoomo Re’,Kailash Kher is all set to launch his third album ‘Kailasa Chaandan Mein‘ globally in June ’09.Yes it’s true that ‘Kailasa Chaandan Mein’ will be released internationally by New York based World Music Label, Cumbancha Records. While Sony Music will release it in India.

The album will contain eight tracks and the magic of Kailasa(the band of Kailash Kher with Naresh and Paresh) will be retained in this composition as well. Says Kailash Kher, “We have tried to incorporate the old folk elements like the Dhola Gayaki from UP. We have avoided the use of electric sounds as far as possible and have stuck to acoustics and raw instruments. There are nine artistes in our band who play 90 different instruments among themselves and we have used many of these in the album.”

The lyrics have been written by Kailash and the songs are sung and composed by all three, Kailash, Paresh and Naresh.”There are times when Kailash is lost in his thoughts and writes something which is a complete bouncer for us. He has a strong hold over Urdu and Punjabi and the dialect sometimes becomes difficult to understand.Kailash then simplifies the lyrics and we start recording.” says Paresh,he added that,”We prefer to give the music a feel of being played live rather than the shrinking sound of recorded music and try to make it as organic as possible. Also, the USP of our music has always been that it is raw using instruments like drums, piano, dhol etc, it’s not a copy of the latest trend of hiphop and rap.

“Getting international recognition is always good and welcomed. It is not easy to get international recognition or bag an international project. One has to create a niche for oneself where there is already so much competition and talent,” Kailash told IANS over phone from Mumbai.He added that,”It is always nice and encouraging when you get recognition at home. But if you make a mark in other countries, it’s a great thing. It makes one proud and you feel honoured that your talent in not only limited to just one country”.

So that means not only Sufi lovers from India but also the worldwide fans of sufi and Bollywood is waiting for his album as Kailash Kher is well recoginized by “the singer of Allah Ke Bande”.
